Beachcomber Glamping

We had a great time in the little hut. The beach was only a couple of minutes away and was lovely with the dog. The toilet was fine and the shower had warm water. There was just us and someone in the other hut on the campsite, so it was quiet. I imagine it feels nice when the site is busy in summer too.

The pod had everything we needed for a short stay, and the toilets and shower were clean. It’s a perfect base for walks, with the beach only a couple of minutes away and Minnis bay about a ten-minute walk along the beautiful coast. There are walking trails to Herne Bay and Recluver towers, or you can head the other way towards Margaret. Can’t wait to return.

We had everything we needed in the hut for a short break, plus a clean loo and shower in the block nearby. It’s a cute place, just a couple of minutes from the sea, with plenty of room for kids to run around. It was perfect for me and my two young sons.

We’d booked and paid for a pitch months ahead for the Libertines gig in Margate, but only heard on the day, a few hours before arrival, that it had been cancelled because of a “system error.” There was no real apology or help finding another place, just a dismissal of the fact we’d been left with nowhere to stay during a major event. The town was fully booked, so there was no chance of finding a last-minute replacement. This was a once-in-a-lifetime gig, and their failure to manage the booking turned it into a stressful mess. We planned ahead and paid in good faith, then had the rug pulled out from under us without warning. The service was disgraceful, with no accountability or understanding of the impact. I wouldn’t risk booking here for an event or anything important. They don’t seem able to handle bookings properly or take responsibility when something goes wrong.
