The food was amazing, though I didn't have room for dessert. The atmosphere feels just like a country pub, and I'll be back very soon to try the lemon tart. 😁😭

The hosts from the pub downstairs added to our lovely stay, and we'll definitely return. We were there to visit friends, and the place has been renovated to a very high standard. Parking was the only letdown, though there were options a short walk away.

We really enjoyed the meal, service and pub atmosphere at the Powell, and the overall food quality was good. The only issue was the hamburgers, which came loaded with English mustard. That's stronger than the American mustard usually used on burgers, and it spoiled them for those of us who ordered one. Maybe the menu could mention the mustard, or staff could offer a choice when you order. I can still highly recommend the Powell.

Jo and the team at The Powell did everything they could to make our mum's wake special. The buffet was excellent and just what we hoped for. I'd recommend them to anyone. Well done to the whole team.

We're so happy the Powell has opened again. Jo, Matt and the team bring friendly faces, great service, amazing wine and a lovely atmosphere to Birchington. Our Christmas dinner there this year was superb, with delicious home cooked food, fast service and amazing value. I can't fault it and have already booked for next year. Looking forward to New Years Eve at the Powell too. Thanks for putting the heart back into our village 💙🩷
