Waqar Khan was friendly and very professional from the moment I arrived. He made check-in smooth and completely stress-free, and his helpful manner and warm personality made my stay memorable. The hotel exceeded my expectations with its service and welcoming atmosphere. Coming back soon!

We were put on the 11th floor, with great views, and the room was perfect. The bed was so comfortable we could have slept there all day. The customer relations team left a card, a small tea-cake and a teddy bear made from towels, which made this an anniversary we’ll never forget. Thanks also to Kinal for leaving another complimentary drink in our room. The cocktails were great, and my partner liked the “brummie bellini.” I’m still amazed that my Madri came in a glass straight from the fridge. We arrived earlier than expected and Waqar at Front Of House greeted us with outstanding professionalism, a constant smile and a welcome fit for royalty. He upgraded our room for our anniversary and gave us a complimentary drink. The hotel is beautiful, luxurious but homely, and we’ve never felt so relaxed. Matthew and Maverick on the night staff dealt with every request and gave outstanding service with smiles. Farouq and Sebastian were also always happy to say hello and ask how our stay was. Matthew needs better jokes and a new star badge on his suit, though. The housekeeper, whose name I didn’t catch, did an amazing job cleaning our room and left my partner a note asking what perfume she used because it smelled so nice. All the staff did a great job. If I could give more than five stars, I would. We’ll remember this stay forever, and will definitely return and recommend it to family and friends.

The afternoon tea was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious, with every part clearly prepared with care. We were given complimentary prosecco on arrival, a lovely touch. The setting was relaxed, elegant and calm enough for conversation without raising our voices. I visited Park Regis for their Valentine’s Edition Afternoon Tea, and it exceeded my expectations. Youssef welcomed us warmly, showed us to our beautifully prepared table and struck just the right balance between friendly and professional. His service felt personal and attentive without being intrusive. He checked in regularly to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. I especially want to commend him: his positive energy, professionalism and attentiveness made all the difference. I’ll certainly be back.

At 00:05 I was phoned, then someone banged on my door in the early hours while I was half naked, despite the Do Not Disturb sign being up. I’ve never felt so vulnerable and unwanted while paying for a hotel room. I have a sleep condition, and was told to “try and get some sleep.” If you want to be woken at midnight because they can’t book rooms properly, this is the place. The poor manners are an example to crap hotels everywhere. Basil Fawlty would have been a preferable host. I’ll never stay again. Update: I was asked to remove this review, and I won’t. My complaint was only looked at because of the review. Staff failed to pass my details to guest relations after waking me after midnight, which should tell you everything you need to know.
