Tri-star Hotel

I really enjoyed staying here. It felt homely, and the staff were very accommodating.

Nigel, the owner, was really friendly and helpful, with tips about where to go in the evening and how to get there. My colleague and I needed somewhere near the airport before an early flight, and Tri-star hotel suited us perfectly. Our rooms were simple but very clean. Following Nigel’s advice, we chose Tap and Tandoori, an easy bus ride from the stop a minute from the hotel. The hotel sits next to the airfield, but on the side away from the terminals, so you need a taxi or bus for the 3 minute drive to the airport. I had a hire car, which made getting to the rental return car park easy. My only disappointment was leaving too early for breakfast. From the restaurant and table settings, I’m sure it would’ve been very good. Thanks for a great stay, Nigel!

Breakfast was nice, and the location worked well for us, close to the pb venue. The staff were really friendly, so we had a good time. I'd recommend it.

Nigel gave us a warm welcome, and Jane was wonderful helping out on the night we stayed. The rooms were comfortable, with showers, and the triple glazing helped keep aircraft noise down. It's a small family run hotel near the airport, though not quite close enough to walk. The X1 and X12 buses from the airport stop right outside, and a taxi is easy too. The restaurant serves breakfast and evening meals with locally sourced ingredients, and there's a bar.
