My name is Michael chambers. After years of hard graft, I woke up one day unable to move without extreme pain at the top of my left leg and across my back. My muscles were stiff and the pain was a five out of five. I called the doctors and waited to see one, but at my appointment they didn’t listen. I was prescribed painkillers and rest, and knew that wasn’t the answer. I’d worked at nuffield bishops Stortford for twenty years, so I couldn’t believe what happened next. I took my problem to Jacob, and the first thing I noticed was that he listened and encouraged me to talk it through. I could see him making a plan. In the treatment room, he used his excellent knowledge of muscles and how they work to help me understand my body and how I might have got into this state. He patiently took the pressure off my back, realizing my glute was involved. When I was ready, we did stretching on the gym floor. I kept doing it at home every day for six weeks.
