The Crown was a lovely stop after a walk in the Shropshire Hills. We got a friendly welcome from the people behind the bar and the locals, and it was very dog friendly. Had a great pint in this proper old fashioned English village pub. We’ll have to return for a Sunday roast sometime.

The food was beautifully presented and tasted fresh and local. We’d booked for Sunday roast the day before, and the team made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived in the lovely setting. The landlords, who were behind the bar, and the front of house staff, who also cooked, were so hospitable. They made a fuss of my curious children, checked in on us regularly, and were happy to provide generous kids’ portions for a lower price than an adult serving. The waitresses were helpful and service was quick. They don’t usually serve during the week, but said we could call and they’d see what they could do. A real gem. We’ll definitely be back, thank you!

We found this lovely pub by chance on a cold, rainy day in February while walking the dogs. The welcome was warm, the atmosphere gorgeous, and the food delicious. We’ll definitely come back.

We hadn’t eaten, but the food we saw looked amazing. Our group had stopped in for a beer after a hike, and the pub was great, with friendly staff and a well kept bar. We’ll be back.

The food was very good, especially the chips. It’s a pleasant, clean and tidy place, run by the owner, with lovely people. Highly recommend it!
