Pathways, Beachwood Cottage

The best part was settling by the log burner with a glass of wine, music on and the flames going. It’s such a lovely way to unwind. Rosalind is always close by if you need anything, whether that’s a question or more logs, which she can provide for a small fee along with kindling. This little straw bale cottage has gorgeous views and open countryside just a few steps away, so it’s great for walks. In winter, bring wellies; there are bags in the porch for them when you get back, a thoughtful little touch. Bath is around 10-15 minutes away, and there’s plenty to do nearby. The Hare & Hounds, about five minutes away, is a beautifully set restaurant. If you’d rather stay in, the kitchen has what you need to cook. We’ve stayed here many times and can’t wait to return. It feels like a little drop of heaven, a special place to get away from the rush of everyday life. Thanks, Rosalind, for making it somewhere people can come and unwind.
