1Bd Winter Garden Gem Close To The Beach

We were given room 4 and a downstairs 'apartment/suite'. Booking in was disorganized, and it seemed the proprietor wasn't expecting us. Both spaces were dirty and poorly equipped. There were cigarette ends beside the settee, and the woodwork was marked and unclean. The family seating area was just a pull-down bed and a settee. In the bedroom, the double bed had an extremely firm mattress, a rickety wardrobe, and bedside tables made from two units stacked on each other. I wouldn't have prepared food in the kitchen. To reach the 'apartment', we had to go through a storage area and out into a very untidy garden. We left after an hour and found somewhere else. Rather than us paying the proprietor, they should pay us. I have photos to support what I'm saying, and the place looked nothing like the pictures used to promote it on Booking.com. I'll share my findings with them directly. If I could give zero, I would. This bed and breakfast is a disgrace.

The receptionist was so kind and lent me her charger when I realized I'd forgotten mine. There was free continental breakfast in reception, and the hotel was in a great location. I thought it was excellent value for money and would definitely stay again.

The location was the only good thing. The hotel wasn't fit for purpose, and the rooms were freezing, dirty, and falling apart. Avoid it at all costs.

The room was extremely basic, though the bed was reasonably comfortable. It was already open when we arrived, not even locked. The Wi-Fi was awful, with a signal only in the bathroom, and it was very noisy. I wouldn't stay here again.
