Anamaria was a faultless host, so friendly and welcoming, and she couldn’t do enough for us. We’ll definitely come back. The location’s hard to beat for a day at Pleasure Beach, just a two-minute walk from the attractions. There are plenty of shops and takeaways within walking distance too.

The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful, even suggesting a local supermarket as a possible place to eat. There’s also a lovely fish and chip shop near Sandcastle and the attractions. The price was reasonable, the place pretty clean, and the bedding was fresh. The showers were very hot. It could be useful if they offered a small breakfast to take away as an add-on.

The hosts were superb and really helpful, and breakfast was cooked fresh to order. I had a piping hot full English, which was excellent. My single room was clean and modern, with a superb bed. I was in Blackpool for a gig at The Waterloo Music Bar, about a ten-minute walk away. I chose this place after reading lots of reviews of local B&Bs, and wasn’t disappointed. I’d definitely recommend it, just bear in mind it’s in South Shore near the Pleasure Beach.

The value really surprised me in the best way. At £35 a night, I thought it was worth a try, and everything from the welcome to the room decor was spot on. The shower water was piping hot, the beds were made each day, and the place was clean. You can see they’ve put a lot of time and money into it. It’s only a two-minute walk to Sandcastle water park or The Velvet Coaster, with Pleasure Beach just across the road. I’ll stay here next time I’m in Blackpool. I honestly can’t recommend it enough, an easy 10/10. I visit Blackpool five or more times a year and have tried lots of places, all with problems or falling short of what I expected. Eventually I started booking a Premier Inn each time because I knew what to expect. Reviews of The Alexander persuaded me to give it a go.
