Arnies Hotel

The beds were so comfortable, and we had a lovely view of the sea. Keith, the hotel Manager, made us feel really welcome and was amazing throughout. He did everything he could for us. Thanks so much, Keith, we had a fabulous time.

The sea views, especially at sunset, were fantastic, and there was off street parking. The location is fairly central between the South and Central Piers on the promenade, though expect a bit of walking. Our room was small but had the basics: a kettle, ensuite shower and some storage. The shower was great on Friday, but there was no hot water on Saturday night. The bedding was clean but looked tired, and the room could use better soundproofing. We had some VERY noisy guests, and noise carries through the building. Soft closers on the doors might help. The service was helpful where it could be, especially since the new manager had only just started and we had technically been there longer than him. The new owners took over midweek, and the manager was interviewing as we checked in. There’s no breakfast at the property at the moment, but management drove us to another hotel for it. They’re open under new management, and some changes are definitely needed. It wasn’t the best stay, but give them a chance. Improvements are coming, and they need people to support them. Neil and Peter, all the best. We’d like to come back in the future.

I booked three nights, but nobody replied to the messages I sent earlier in the week before we arrived. When we got to Blackpool with all our belongings, there was a note on the Arnies Hotel door saying it was temporarily closed. I had to find another hotel for one night and cut the trip very short. I’ve had no response since. I want my full refund back. I’m absolutely appalled by this experience.

I’ve been to jail, and the service there was much better. Someone who didn’t work there took money from us for parking that didn’t work, then used the master key to go into our room and a couple of others. The owner never got the police involved, as he really just wants the money. If you want to feel like a homeless person, stay there. It’s definitely somewhere you’ll never forget.
