Big Blue Hotel

The breakfast was the biggest disappointment. It cost £18 for adults and £9.50 for kids, which is insane for what you get. It was buffet style, with little variety and average food, somewhere between IKEA and Premier Inn quality but far more expensive. The bath filled up when we showered, so it was obviously blocked, and the pillows were awful. We didn’t sleep too well. Still, we found the hotel decent overall and would stay again if we came back. It’s right on site at the pleasure beach, with its own entrance, and our room backed onto the park, so the kids loved seeing the rides. The staff were terrific, friendly, and happy to help. The place was pretty clean and had parking for £10 per day. It’s clearly set up for theme park visitors. There were five of us in one room, which worked fine for us instead of booking two rooms. The bunk beds are almost separate from the main room, giving it a more spacious feel.

We had to leave before breakfast and rush back to Kent for a funeral, so the hotel kindly put together breakfast packages for us to take along. That really helped on the 5.5 hour trip. The food at the hotel was excellent on both nights. It’s a lovely hotel in a great spot, the second to last stop on the tram line. The only downside is being right next to the pleasure beach amusements. They weren’t open while we were there, so it was quiet. I’d definitely stay again.

We booked at very short notice for two nights and got a very good price for a 4star hotel attached to the theme park. The room was enormous and the beds were really comfortable. Service was immaculate, welcoming, and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Free park tickets were a bonus, and having the hotel's own entrance was brilliant. It brings you in right beside the Big One! For a random weekend away booked so late, we can’t recommend it enough. We’ll be back!! ❤️

The rooms were spacious, with big windows overlooking the pleasure beach, and the bed was big and comfy. Everything was spotless and presentable, with nice facilities. The friendly guy on reception welcomed us, and dinner at the hotel was plentiful, great value, and served by lovely staff. Parking cost £20 per night because we booked through a booking agent. You can hear the tracks of several rollercoasters from this hotel right by the pleasure beach, but once the bedroom windows are shut it’s very quiet, and we got a jolly decent rest. It’s about a 30 minute walk to Blackpool Tower, along a blimey great beach promenade. This was a really good stay, different from your usual Blackpool B&B, but unquestionably worth it. I’d stay again without hesitation.
