Broadway Blackpool

I’ve never stayed here, thankfully, so I can’t speak to the mould, filth, broken beds, cold water or other problems reviewers describe. Still, 147 of 256 TripAdvisor reviews rating it “Terrible” is quite something. I’m only reviewing the policy of fining people for bad reviews. That comes close to theft. I hope they repay every fine, go out of business and end up bankrupt.

It sounds like a terrible hotel. I know there are two sides to every story, and I’d be interested to hear yours, but there’s no smoke without fire. Avoid it, avoid it, avoid it! Charging people after the fact shows no scruples. Hope you have a happy Christmas with no customers.

After hearing the story on the news this morning, I’ve crossed the Broadway off my list for our trip to the U.K. next summer. Charging customers 100 pounds for being honest and leaving a bad review is no way to treat people. A hotel should cater to its customers, not expect the reverse.

I haven’t stayed there, but it’s become known for charging someone £100 for writing a negative TripAdvisor review. That seems like one of the lowest forms of business I can imagine. Just thought I’d share the love, or lack of it. I won’t be going now, and I imagine plenty of others won’t either.
