Bukhari Hotel

Mr Bukhari gave us a warm welcome and was lovely. The rooms were cosy, warm, clean and colourful, and the food was nice. It's well placed for the south pier. Trams cost 3.10, so we used Uber taxis instead to get to the north. We also went to churchills bar for karaoke. The negative reviews seem to be about the previous place. Bukhari is good value for money now.

The owner made me feel uncomfortable and I wouldn't book here again. When I asked for the WiFi password, he came straight into my room and tried to flirt with me. He kept bothering me during breakfast time, knocking, calling and texting to remind me it was time to eat. When I didn't respond, he said I had to leave because he was closing the hotel, and acted as if it was an emergency with everyone waiting downstairs. He kept coming upstairs and rushing me out. I checked with someone downstairs and found nobody had been told to leave. I was told to go because I didn't come down for breakfast and he didn't get his way. He refunded my money too, and it felt like it was all about his ego. The website has a picture of the owner, which made me think he has an ego and an abusive attitude when he doesn't get his way. I find him weird, and wouldn't be surprised if he blocks this review. The WiFi is unsecured, so I wouldn't recommend using it. The hotel doesn't seem fit for purpose or child friendly, and the TVs in the rooms are very small. I'd give no stars if that were an option.

Mr Bukhari puts a lot of time and effort into making a stay memorable for guests, and it was an honour to meet him. We spent a couple of nights at Bukhari Hotel and had a wonderful experience. It's a stone's throw from South Pier, the beach, the water park, Pleasure Beach and plenty of lovely restaurants. The hotel was very clean, with facilities for all ages and wheelchair access all the way to the rooms. Mr Bukhari takes pride in offering guests one of the nicest, affordable locations.

The rooms were a good size, and the owner was very friendly and helpful. It's a great location if you want to be near the beach and get good value. No frills, but it was clean and warm, which is all you need.
