Carousel Hotel

The room was warm, clean and comfortable, and breakfast had a good range of choices. The tiny tea cups were a small niggle. The main problem was being placed right over the entertainment area: the music was so loud until 12:30 that we couldn't hear the TV. We would have asked to move, but there was no reception staff around, and nobody warned us at check-in. The shower cubicle was very small, and the toilet bowl had black marks that badly needed cleaning. We stayed for one night between Christmas and New Year. I'd only come back if I could be sure of getting a room away from the entertainment.

The staff were amazing and breakfast was great, but the room let the hotel down. The window was covered in bird droppings, as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. The bed was really uncomfortable and the shower tiny. For more than £100 for one night, it just wasn't good value.

A good value stay, and I'll be back next year. The room was warm, comfortable and very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a decent choice too.

We enjoyed the quiet spot and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The tram stop is right across the road, which was handy. My husband and I stayed four nights at The Carosel Hotel, Blackpool on a Dodds coach holiday from the 6th to the 10th this October. Our room was clean, with a comfy bed and pillows and an ensuite, though the shower felt too small for my 6'3" husband. The evening meal was better quality than we'd expect from a three-star hotel. You could pre-order from three options for each course for the following evening, and the desserts were so good I had one every night. Breakfast was a buffet with tea, coffee, fresh orange juice, cereal, toast, croissants and tasty cooked food of good quality. We'd happily return.
