I really wouldn't recommend staying here. It was like a hostel, with a messy room, beds that weren't made properly, holes in the walls and a sick smell. It felt very unhygienic. There were no facilities or TVs in the rooms, and no mirrors. There was no toilet roll in the toilet rooms, and the toilet area had no sink, so you couldn't wash your hands there. The sinks were at the opposite end of the hotel. The hotel offers breakfast as an add-on, but don't take it, as no breakfast is served here. They don't sell drinks or even water. There were only two or three parking spaces, and they charged £10 for overnight parking without mentioning it until we arrived. I was charged £100 for smoking in the room without being notified, after the person on reception said we could as long as it was out of the window. I also saw that reception person smoking weed out of our room.

I paid when I booked online, then was asked to pay cash again on arrival. They said the extra payment would be refunded within two days, but a week has passed with no refund or even a reply. The smell in the hotel was so bad it gave me a headache and kept me awake all night. Avoid it.

Back in 1991 I stayed here with my mum, dad and sister for a family holiday, when it was called Lynnwood hotel. It was pretty basic, but I loved it and would really like to return.

The condition of the beds and sheets was awful: broken beds, holes in the bedding, and it looked as if the sheets hadn't been changed in about two years. The rooms barely seem suited to one bed, let alone three, and four rooms sharing a bathroom had no toilet roll. Staff were rude and miserable, and Briana, who I spoke to by phone, had a terrible attitude. They took £100 from my account for smoking that never happened, without telling me until 26 hours after I left. I'll take it to small claims, and it'll cost them more than that shabby £100. This place is a complete hovel. I'd give it less than one star if I could.

This place is part of Blackpool HQ too, so steer clear. Consider that your warning.
