Cheers Hotel Blackpool

The location is great, which makes it a shame that I can't see myself staying again. Since my last visit, the place has gone downhill and needs a thorough clean. The beds were uncomfortable. The hosts were still as pleasant as before, and breakfast was cooked well, though the ingredients were poor quality.

We wouldn't recommend this place or stay again. There were empty drink cans and cigarettes outside, and parking was so difficult that we had to walk 15 minutes to get there. The notice said rooms are replenished every 4 days. Inside, our small room looked nothing like it had been modernised: wallpaper was peeling, carpet was missing bits, the bathroom was tiny and in poor condition, and the shower looked so long uncleaned that we wouldn't use it. The bathroom handle was broken, and the main room door was barely attached, so we put a suitcase behind it in case someone came in.

A lovely little café tucked away, with fair prices, quick service and friendly staff. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, take cards or cash, and welcome dogs. There's no parking on site. Best food in Blackpool that I've tried!

The host was lovely and the place was clean, and the café under the hotel did a great additional breakfast. The bar was advertised, but when I asked, I was told it wasn't busy enough to open, even though the hotel was full. Not sure if the advert was wrong or they just weren't ready for the rush yet.
