The buffet breakfast had a good range, and the place felt friendly and homely. Everything was clean, warm and tidy. My room was in the roof space, which could be awkward for taller people. I was there for four days, but it was only made up on the third day, the day before I left. Apart from that, it was good value.

The bed itself was comfortable, which is why I gave it two stars. On arrival, though, there was nobody there to welcome us, and the entrance looked untidy and messy. The breakfast was extremely unsatisfactory: the tinned fruit wasn’t appealing, the fresh fruit was past its best, the cereal was stale, and all the products seemed poor quality. Also, if anyone in your party is over 6ft, don’t book the top room.

The beds were lovely and comfortable, and there are literally extras you might need right outside the door. It was clean and friendly, and we’d stay again. Absolutely recommend this B&B.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the location is good and relaxed. The long-stay car park is a two-minute walk away. Christine, who served breakfast, was great.
