We booked two deluxe family rooms in May for three adults and four children, but we were given one deluxe room with four beds and another with a double and two singles. That left us one bed short. Our four boys, aged 13, 11, 8 and 4, had to squeeze into a double and a single pushed together. Reception said there were no vacancies when I went to ask, even though we’d booked months earlier. The bed I slept in was awful, with every spring pressing through the mattress. The bathrooms were grotty, and there weren’t nearly enough towels for all of us. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It was highly disappointing.

There were only four beds for five people, so this was nowhere near a deluxe family room. The room was dirty too, with a ketchup pot stuck under the drawer and glued to the carpet. There was no heating or hot water, despite the owner repeatedly saying the heating was on. I wouldn’t come back.

Dot is such a lovely lady, and we’d happily recommend staying here. We spent two nights in a lovely room and had an excellent breakfast. There was nothing we could fault. We’ll definitely come back.

We booked two nights in a cosy little room. Since I get cold easily and the heating was off, they gave me a heater to use. The shower water wouldn’t heat up, but I called the owner and it was working again within 15 minutes. They really put their guests first. Thanks for having us.

The beds were unclean, with hairs on them, and damp paper was peeling off the walls. There was urine on the toilet seats and black grime all over the shower. The shower and sink were too filthy to use. It was so disgusting I wouldn’t put a dog in there. Stay away if you don’t want to feel filthy. Vile.
