Grampian Guest House

The room was small but nice. There was only one pillow per person on the bed, with just one extra in the wardrobe. Since the place was unmanned, there was nobody to ask for more, or to tell that the mattress was awful. I could feel the springs and my hips ended up aching badly. For two nights, the price didn’t feel justified, especially with no breakfast included. It seems breakfast was provided nine months ago. We also couldn’t use the living room before 11am, even though it still looked set up for serving food. No fresh milk or refills of coffee and tea were provided, and the owners didn’t check in to see if everything was okay or if we needed anything.

We stayed for a week and really didn’t want to leave. It felt like home. Richard and George were so welcoming, and even carried our luggage up to the rooms. Everything was very clean, and the price was reasonable for such good value. When we left yesterday, both guys loaded my car and waved us off. It honestly felt like saying goodbye to family. We’ll definitely be back.

It’s lovely and quiet here, and feels secure, so it’s definitely not somewhere for people looking to have a rowdy party. The room was very clean, and the owners seem to keep adding little improvements to the rooms and the hotel whenever I stay. They made every effort to give us a relaxed weekend, always ready to help without getting in the way. Breakfast was excellent and set me up for the day. I wish all Blackpool B&Bs put in this kind of effort. Well done!

The hotel had a really calming feel, with a sunny spot out the front to sit in. From the moment we arrived, the owners were kind, helpful, and even carried our bags upstairs. Thanks for a great couple of days away. I’d definitely book again.
