The guest house is being renovated under new management. The proprietor is very pleasant and helpful, and seems happy to do whatever's needed. Last night, a man came in after being beaten up and couldn't remember where he was staying. The proprietor tracked down his B&B, gave first aid to his head and face, then helped him get back there. A first-class guy.

John was incredibly welcoming, and little Rosie was just as friendly. The hotel is close to the promenade attractions. Our room was super clean and tidy, with comfy beds and a large TV; the toilet was just next door. We'd definitely recommend it and stay again. Thanks!

I brought my small dog along, which made it easier for me to take a break. Joe, the owner, was very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. He also gave me plenty of information about places I might enjoy visiting. The continental breakfast was more than ample. There was bottled water and lollipops for the kids as we headed out, a nice touch on a hot day. I've booked for September.

I wasn't expecting much at this price, but the room really impressed me. It was nicely decorated, and the fresh bedding smelled lovely. There was a telly and kettle in the room, and the shared toilet was very clean. We arrived early and were made welcome straight away, and they let us check in ahead of time. Coral island is a 40 second walk away, and the front is about 30 seconds away, right by everything. I'd definitely stay again when I visit bpool. Thanks for a delightful stay.

I booked a shared bathroom room at the Kirkstead guesthouse, then got upgraded to a private bathroom room at its sister hotel, the Runway Guesthouse. Yvonne welcomed me with a great cup of coffee and tips on where to go and what to do. I had a fab time and would definitely return. Many thanks.
