We didn't stay and booked somewhere else that was clean and smelled lovely. This place was like Fawlty Towers! The reception smelled strongly of dog urine. Upstairs, the first room they showed us was tiny, with the bed against the wall. The other option was a family room with bunk beds as well as a double. The shower cubicle wasn't clean, the bathroom tiles looked as if they needed scrubbing, and the toilet wasn't very nice. The red cups on the tray were dirty, so we left them soaking with Steradent. The tray itself was dirty too, and the kettle had yellow stains. The bed was unclean, and we could feel the mattress springs, so it needs replacing. The only view from the window was a dirty mattress in the yard. This was after booking a two-night stay.

Reg was there to greet us when we arrived early at 9:30, and he was a lovely, friendly man. We'd booked a double room without an ensuite, but he changed it for us. The room was cosy and just right, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. WiFi was available throughout, which my son was pleased about for his iPad. We stayed one night and are going back in September. I'd highly recommend it. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We stayed over New Year's Eve and had a good night's rest. The friendly couple made us feel very welcome, and breakfast the next morning was good. Great value for money, and we'd definitely stay again.

The Miramar has the clean, simple rooms and full English breakfast you'd want from a seaside B&B, and there's no pretension about the place. What really makes it stand out is the people running it. They're friendly and thoughtful, and make you feel like part of the family.

The room was clean and cosy, and Reg and Lou were so welcoming and helpful. Reg even carried our luggage upstairs and lent me his daughter’s parking permit so I could leave the car round the corner for the weekend. We also had breakfast at Lou,s cafe, which was absolutely lovely. They helped us with a few things we needed, and we’d definitely book again. Thank you!
