We tried the evening meals and they were fabulous. I’m vegetarian, and that wasn’t a problem. Breakfast was superb too, and Phil makes sure you never go hungry. Our room was small and right at the top of the hotel, but it was very clean and had tea and coffee facilities. We could relax with a drink in the front room overlooking the sea, or use the larger lounge at the back. It was our first visit, for a two-day break to see the illuminations and catch up with family, and we received the same fabulous treatment as returning guests. Really enjoyed it and would definitely go back.

The Moorings Hotel was excellent value for money, with great hosts, lovely staff and the best breakfast you could wish for. We spent four days there and can highly recommend it. It’s well located near the trams and buses. Definitely be back soon.

A warm, cosy hotel at the northern end of the promenade, just minutes from the front. You can easily catch a tram to the Pleasure Beach. The owner and staff are very friendly, and breakfast is first class.

The food was plentiful and very good, and the hotel itself is comfortable, friendly and reasonably priced. The proprietor and staff really help make it a pleasant stay. I’d thoroughly recommend it for a short visit or a longer one.

We’ve been coming here for over 22 years. My husband and I had our first date here, and now it’s a place that makes you feel at home, with really comfy rooms. The owner is kind, lovely and helpful, and the food is amazing. Huge breakfasts and teas, and the gammon is especially good. My daughter loves it. For her twelfth birthday, he played “Happy Birthday” and brought in a cake with candles. It embarrassed the living daylights out of her, but was really lovely of him.
