The place was filthy, from the walls and windows to the sheets, and it felt unsafe too. The front door was left open, with only a keypad between you and outside. You could apparently open it with a butter knife, and anyone who’d stayed there before could get back in if they wanted. Absolute dumpster fire of an establishment. Do yourself a favour and spend the extra pound or two a night.

Completely filthy and disgusting, worth less than zero stars. The rooms definitely don’t look like the pictures, and I agree with the other posts here. We walked in and straight back out as fast as we could, then found a very friendly hotel, the dayan hotel. I’d definitely use that one again. This place should be shut down.

The bedding was stained, there were hairs under the pillow, and the wall was filthy. There wasn't even a TV or anywhere to hang clothes. We walked in and straight back out, then stayed at the lovely Foxhall Village Hotel across the road.

We booked two nights at Singleton House a few months ahead, in January 2016. The day before we travelled, an email told us to collect the keys somewhere else. A girl then walked me two streets away to another building. I nearly passed out when we went inside. Before I'd even climbed three steep flights of stairs, I was already worried: I'd specifically asked for a low floor because I have pins and plates in my leg, and I'd requested parking. Instead, I had to use a private car park that cost £20 for two days. The room was a complete disgrace. The bunk beds looked like they were from the early 70s, were damaged, and had ripped, stained mattresses. The bedding was so awful I wouldn't let a stray dog sleep on it. The place was filthy, with holes in the walls, torn carpets, a ripped net curtain that looked unwashed, a filthy window sill and a cracked window. There wasn't even a toilet in the room. I arrived with my partner and just cried. I was on a break after an operation, and instead I was tired, hungry, soaked through and desperate to leave. I found a very nice hotel online straight away, luckily during Easter weekend, from 26th to the 28th March 2016. I took the keys back and said there was no way I could stay. The man replied, “Well, you can't have your money!” I walked out and said they needed reporting to Environmental Health. In the ten minutes I was there looking for somewhere else, I started itching. Please don't be fooled by the website pictures. I don't believe those rooms belong to Singleton Hotel. I wish I'd taken photos, but I was so distraught I just had to get away quickly. Stay away from Singleton House. I'm scarred for life, and I'd rather send people to prison than send them there. I believe they'd never offend again! Signing off, Michelle Rigby from Eccleshill, Bradford. P.S. I'd give it no stars, but the site made me give one to post this.

A complete dump. Don't book here, ever.
