The Laurels

It was ideal for us, about a ten-minute walk from corla island. My boy and I loved having a clean, quiet room where we didn’t hear anyone else. Just what we needed: a shower, a brew and a decent kip.

The rooms were lovely, the beds and pillows comfortable, and everything was exceptionally clean. Breakfast was tasty, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Sue and Colin are excellent hosts, friendly and welcoming from the moment you arrive, and they work brilliantly as a team. They treat you like friends. The location is handy for both the seafront and town, so we’ll definitely make this our regular place to stay in Blackpool. Tony and Lorraine and Tony and Pam

We had a great night’s sleep in a cosy room, and The laurels was exceptionally clean and tidy. Zoe greeted us and was lovely, really friendly and helpful. It’s only a ten-minute walk to the Tower. We paid extra to park on the driveway, and it was worth every penny with parking so scarce in Blackpool. Thanks for having us.

The location is very central, about five minutes from Coral Island, the Tower, Winter Gardens, town centre and the beach. It’s good value, and there’s a Chinese restaurant across the road with free takeaway delivery. The owner was pleasant and respectful, with great customer service. I’d stay again. The comfortable room had a TV, kettle, tea and coffee, and a sink, with the separate toilet along the corridor. It’s basic, but enough for the price. It was warm, with an adjustable radiator, and I could open the window, which looked towards the Tower. I wouldn’t recommend it for families, but it suits mature people or couples.
