We had a really pleasant stay, and Jill was lovely to deal with, always accommodating in her messages. The cottage sits on a working farm, with Alyth nearby for groceries and a tasty, clean chippy at a reasonable price. Blairgowrie has larger shops like Tesco and Lidl, plus a couple of good bakeries on the high street. Dunkeld, Aberfeldy and Dundee are all close enough for a day out. Back at the cottage, it was clean and well equipped, and the garden was the real highlight. The lawns are immaculate, the views stretch across the green countryside, and it's a lovely place to sit and relax. We'd happily stay again.

I came home feeling like this little rural break had done me the world of good. My dog and I explored on foot, with the Cateran Trail running right through the farm, then spent time in the garden enjoying the views and the sounds of the animals. Do make time for a soak in that big bath. The cottage is a wee five-star gem, comfortable and so well appointed, with everything we needed and then some. The tablet and Tunnocks wafers were a lovely welcome. Jill is a super host, and I had a wonderful three-night stay. As Arnie says, I'll be back!

This was our second visit, and we had another great two weeks. The views are terrific, the cottage has everything we needed, and Jill was only a phone call away. We'd definitely recommend it and hope we can make it back in 2023, depending on how things work out.

One thing to plan for is the mile of road before you reach the nearest gritted stretch. It was a bit icy during our visit, though we managed fine in a small car. In the depths of winter, take it slowly and consider a 4x4 or walking. We had a wonderful stay at Ardormie. The cottage is just right for two, warm and cosy, with everything you need. The living room stove is great, and the heated mattress pads were a nice surprise. We'll definitely return.
