We ended up spending much more time indoors than planned because of the bad weather, but the cottage felt like a home away from home and was really relaxing. It has plenty of charm and character, and was very clean. The host was lovely and kept in touch. She stopped by the day after we arrived to check the hot tub and left us brownies and a bottle of Prosecco. A really cute Valentine’s weekend getaway, with pubs and shops close by.

The cottage has clearly had a lot of love put into its decor and all the little touches. Tracey was really helpful when we booked at the last minute, and her suggestions for places to visit and eat were spot on. We especially enjoyed the canal walk and lunch at plume of feathers. There’s plenty of parking, and the hot tub was lovely after exploring. Two dog-friendly pubs are only a couple of minutes away on foot. We’ve just come back from four nights at Rose Cottage and would happily recommend it. Hope to return! 😀

Our two dogs were very happy snoozing beside the fire, and the cottage felt warm and homely with its Christmas decorations. It’s much more spacious in person, too, and was spotless and nicely presented. The owners have thought of everything and made us feel welcome, including with the lovely welcome gifts of milk, bread, Prosecco and Lindt chocolates. There’s a huge driveway, a lovely garden and a hot tub. We had a five-star four-night stay at Rose Cottage and would recommend it. We’d love to come back in summer. Thanks again for a lovely stay 😊.

We had the best time, and the dogs were welcome too. The hot tub was fab, and there’s wifi and a TV for streaming. The place was spotless and beautifully decorated. Just a few minutes’ walk away, there’s a great dog-friendly pub that serves food, plus a fabulous Indian restaurant round the corner. Couldn’t recommend it more.

The owners made everything easy for us, and we really enjoyed the hot tub. It’s a beautiful cottage, close to two nice pubs and a couple of restaurants. Would highly recommend it.
