The stars were incredible on the clear night, and the surroundings were so peaceful. We stayed in the Shepherd's hut "Rosie" instead of the cottage, and it was perfect. The space was clean, thoughtfully laid out and had everything we could need. The owners suggested places worth checking out nearby and had details in a folder in the hut. The hot tub was ready and warm when we arrived, and there was delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake in the fridge. My wife enjoyed feeding the chickens and ducks one morning. We also loved the breakfast rolls we ordered with fresh duck eggs. Looking back, we should have asked if we could buy some chicken or duck eggs. We were only there for 2 nights and both wished we could have stayed longer. I couldn’t recommend the place more, and we’d definitely like to come again.

We loved the view, the hot tub and the amazing star-filled sky, with no light pollution. It’s a quiet, lovely place to get away from the city for a while, and the location is perfect. The owners are very friendly, and there are two lovely dogs as well as ducks and chickens. We had a lovely weekend in the Shepherd’s hut and strongly recommend it!

It was peaceful, with a few choice poultry wandering around and two very good, polite dogs who liked to hang out. We stayed in the shepherds hut over the hottest weekend, and had a lovely time. The owner provided a parasol, and I kept the hot tub at 25 so it was a cool pool to wallow in. I also snoozed in the shade under the bamboo. A lovely stay.

Kim was a wonderful host, explaining everything clearly and making us feel welcome. She kindly warmed the hut before we arrived. We had a fantastic two-night stay at Rosie, Shepherds Hut. It was very well equipped for cooking a decent meal, with a comfortable bed and a great shower. Watching TV in bed on the Fire stick was an added bonus. Thank you, I’d highly recommend it.

Our breakfast was excellent, and the facilities were great and well placed for the Saints Way. Three of us stayed with Kim at Demelza Cottage while walking the Saints Way. She was a brilliant host, helping us deal with our wet gear and settling us into the charming Shepherd's Hut and the double bedroom. I can’t recommend Demelza Cottage highly enough.
