We stayed in number 1 duck end cottage and loved it. There’s parking right outside the front door, and the bed was comfortable with a lovely shower. The cottage is so quiet, with nice afternoons and evenings to sit outside. It’s a gorgeous little place, and the kitchen equipment is luxurious. You only need to bring your own food. We’ll certainly be back.

Rosie and Robyn were friendly, lovely hosts, and we’ll definitely come back for another relaxing holiday. The place is beautiful, set in lovely surroundings, and spotlessly clean with everything you could want. Jo and Dave

Our top-floor window looked out on a spectacular view, and the room was large with a comfortable bed. My wife especially enjoyed the big bathtub. We stayed two nights and really enjoyed our time there. Marco welcomed us warmly, the evening meal was delicious, and breakfast was extremely good too. Such a relaxing, beautiful place to stay!

Take your bikes if you want to ride the Camel Trail into Padstow, etc. The hotel is in a great location for it. Marco runs the place with his family and a few staff. He’s a good character who makes you feel welcome, and he cooks evening meals on Fridays and Saturdays. I’d recommend the freshly made pasta dishes, which are tasty. As far as possible, everything seems to be organic, including the wine and beer. Our room was clean and comfortable, with nice views over the grounds. It’s a lovely, airy house with a relaxed feel, and good value all in all.

The house and views are lovely, but the atmosphere didn’t feel very friendly. The owners didn’t make us feel welcome and never even tried to say hello at breakfast. Luckily, the staff made up for their absence. Breakfast choices were limited, and there was bread but no toast. Our room was very cold, so I had to ask for the heating to be turned up and argue the point. The house is beautiful, though it’s looking a little tired and could use some TLC and a coat of paint.
