We spent two nights here with my husband and parents, and it was a very disappointing experience. The restaurant was the one redeeming part: the staff there were friendly and helpful, and the food was okay, though overpriced. At reception, the staff were cold and unfriendly enough that I felt we were a nuisance. They knew it was my dad's 90th birthday and didn't even wish him well. We were assured the hotel was wheelchair accessible, but it wasn't. My mum uses a wheelchair, and getting into her room meant making a 90’ turn in a very tight space. The room was too small to turn the chair around, so we had to pull her out backwards. She could manage the toilet, but the shower had a step up of about 30cm and was impossible for her to use. The route to reception and the restaurant goes through the carpark, which has a steep sideways slope. We had to pull her chair backwards there too because we were afraid she'd fall out.

The room was spacious, with a spotless, modern bathroom, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. We had a great meal in the restaurant. There's plenty of parking right in the centre of Bodmin. I can't understand why this place is only rated 2*, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as a base.

Right in the middle of town, yet quiet. The hotel looks well maintained throughout, and the rooms were very clean with modern decor. Staff were friendly and especially helpful.

The restaurant was the standout, with absolutely amazing food, and I'd definitely come back. The rooms were clean and had all the basic amenities, just right for a budget-friendly stay.

I've been here to eat around three times, and every dish I've tried has been delicious. There's a great menu with choices for meat eaters and vegans, and the vegan dishes are especially incredible. You can tell thought has gone into the plant-based food, which is creative and full of flavour rather than an afterthought. The service is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming, adding to the relaxed, warm atmosphere. Highly recommend! ☺️
