Gemma and the team gave us a wonderful night. There were 30 of us in an older group, and we had a ball eating delicious food, dancing, and enjoying the excellent Jersey Boys tribute band. The chef also took care of everyone’s dietary needs without any fuss. We all loved it and can’t wait to come back as soon as we can. Thanks again to everyone, from Alan & Gaye (Symbiont CIC).

The staff were the highlight of my stay at The Park Hotel Liverpool. They were helpful, friendly, and supportive throughout, and I’d return if I needed a hotel in the area. I got there early and was able to check in straight away. Room 205 was clean and tidy, though a little small, and suited a short stay of one or two nights. The hotel is clean and well kept overall, but parts of the building and some rooms feel a bit tired and could use a refresh. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a nice selection and freshly served hot food. Having to ask for tea, coffee, or toast felt awkward and took away from it a little. Parking is available, but you need to register your car at reception on arrival because an external company manages it. Once you know, it’s easy enough.

I had such a good time here with my little boy. The hotel is lovely, and the staff are second to none. Gemma, Sophie, Lee-Ann and Jodie were so kind to him that he didn’t want to leave. I can’t thank them enough, and we can’t wait to come back.

Breakfast was nice, though limited, and the pub food was tasty. Parking was good, and most of the staff were kind. The £50 deposit at check-in came as a surprise. I’d already paid in full online, and the deposit requirement was only in small print under “view more” on the Booking.com confirmation page. I didn’t have a physical card, and I saw several other guests surprised by the same requirement. The woman handling my question was condescending and said “most hotels work like this,” which wasn’t helpful and didn’t match my experience. At first I was told I couldn’t check in without a physical card, but they later authorised Apple Pay after I mentioned asking for a full refund. That inconsistency made an already long journey more stressful. The room was cold, with no thermostat or clear way to adjust the heating. Staff brought an extra duvet and acknowledged the temperature, but it stayed uncomfortable, and showering in the cold room was unpleasant. The hotel was full, so I couldn’t move rooms. There were several visible defects, and I took photos when I arrived to avoid any trouble over the deposit. There was no fridge, the telephone was broken, and the key card kept stopping working whenever I left, so I had to get it reactivated at reception. I even went out of my way to keep it away from my phone. Around 2:30am, the fire alarm went off. Guests seemed to evacuate themselves to the lobby, with no staff directing or managing things. The person at reception, possibly the manager, stayed on the phone, which added to the confusion. We weren’t told to go outside, and there was no visible sign of a fire. Nobody told us what was happening for over 20 minutes, and only later did they confirm it was a false alarm. The lack of communication and organisation was concerning, especially when thinking about how a real emergency might be handled. All of that made the stay poor value for money. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

We booked a Christmas family meal here last year, in 2024, and it was absolutely disgusting. Management promised several times that we’d be compensated with meals at the company’s Liverpool venues, but by November 2025 there was still nothing. It was the worst service I’ve ever experienced. Don’t be taken in by the polite “please” and “thank you” when you speak with management. Give it a miss.
