There’s loads of space for families or groups of friends, with a large kitchen, a huge dining table and enough seats for everyone in the main lounge. Every bedroom has its own en suite, so there’s no arguing over rooms. The shop is just across the road and the nearest pub is about 100m away. The only improvement I can think of would be to move the place to the bottom of the hill. Anyone who’s visited Boscastle will know what I mean.

Orchard Lodge was a great place to stay in Boscastle. I had a fabulous time there with my family. The house was extremely clean and very well equipped, and Michele, the owner, greeted us when we arrived and was really friendly and helpful.

We paid £86 per night per room in June/July, and it was worth every penny. The proprietors were helpful and friendly, the rooms were lovely with en-suites, and everything was clean, tidy and well organised. Breakfast was excellent too, the sort that keeps you going all day, and we slept well. We hadn’t expected any B&B to match Liberty House near St Agnes, which has now closed, but this one ticks all the boxes. It’s a great base for exploring North Cornwall and the surrounding areas.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owners were lovely and on hand with advice about places to go and things to do. It’s clean, beautifully fitted out and has everything you could possibly need, making it a perfect base for exploring Cornwall and Devon.

The homemade scones waiting when we arrived were delicious and very welcome after the drive. It’s a lovely house with everything we needed. The table tennis was a huge hit with my son and son-in-law, and kept them amused for hours! We also had a great meal at the Napoleon Inn. The food was amazing, definitely give it a try 😂
