The Old Rectory

The house and rooms were incredible, and everything was so clean. The owners were very welcoming, and we watched rugby with them in the main living room. The garden was enormous, with stunning views, and I could have wandered around it for ages. Pippa was beautiful and so friendly. Breakfast was banging. They even gave us a lift to our meal in Boscastle that evening. If I could give six stars, I would. Anyone going to Boscastle should stay here. Thank you so much.

We had an amazing Airbnb stay and highly recommend it. It’s pretty remote, but still close to everything, if that makes sense. The quiet is simply deafening. Lovely hosts, and just the right place if you want to get away from it all.

We found this peaceful place on GoogleMaps and stayed in the self-catering room, which was finished to a very high standard. There are extensive grounds with several places to sit and stroll, and it was quiet and restful. We felt very welcome and at home, and were delighted to bring our dog, who was well catered for too. Taking dogs is only an option for self-catering guests. There’s a lot of care and attention to detail here, including consideration for the environment. Boscastle is walkable, and the location made a good base for the area. We highly recommend ‘The Rocket Store’ for a meal and ‘The Good Stuff Harbour Light’ for coffee and cake, as mentioned in our separate reviews. Everything suited us, and we hope to return to experience this historic site again. Thank you for having us.

The hosts knew a lot about the historical importance of this place. It’s a listed Victorian building in a quiet spot, with its character intact, spacious tidy rooms and well-kept gardens. Breakfast was excellent. Recommended.
