The room was comfortable and had a fan, plus a spot by the bed to plug in phones, a laptop and other things. It was exactly as described, spotlessly clean, and there was easy free parking outside. The owner was helpful and came in to assist with anything. I needed a hand opening the windows in the heat.

I needed a reasonably priced room within walking distance for a friend visiting Boston, and this worked well. Communication with the owners was smooth, too.

The bed and room were very comfortable. I thought this was a B&B, but it turned out to be only a B. Breakfast cereal and milk were provided, and there were noodles for a snack in the shared kitchen. Since it was cheaper, it was very good value all in all. I wouldn't mind staying again.

A good price for a nice bedroom about 10 minutes from the town centre. There's free WiFi and street parking, plus a shared kitchen and bathrooms. Ideal for subcontractors working away from home.

I cancelled my Hallam Rooms reservation three weeks before I was due to stay, because I'd mixed up my dates in Boston and wasn't staying there. Two days before the original booking, £48 was taken from my bank account. The owner, Matthew, denied taking the money, but I proved that he had. I didn't stay at Hallam Rooms. Don't book here. Thief.
