A cosy atmosphere, a lovely menu, and terrific service. Hope we can come back soon.

The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was great. Most of the food was delicious, but the rib eye steak was so chewy it wasn't good.

We had a great stay with family in this village hotel. The rooms were large, with plenty of space and good storage, and the beds were comfortable. There are little shelves beside them for keeping things handy overnight. The sink and toilet worked reliably, and we had a kettle, hot drink sachets and Biscoff biscuits in the room. We also tried the pub's local cider and IPA, then had fresh pizzas with our own toppings: extra cheese, anchovies and jalapenos.

Lovely setting, a log fire, friendly staff, and a good choice of beer and cider. We missed our chance to eat because we had a tide to catch, but I’m looking forward to trying the food next time I visit.

It's a lovely pub in many ways, but our visit was a bit of a poor show. They seemed short staffed and were vague with us that evening. Several things were unavailable, even though they were still on the menu, and the food was very average. I'd have liked to give a better score.
