For £40, the room was ideal for what I needed. It was clean, good quality and had everything I needed, and check-in was very easy. There’s a shared kitchen as well. The shared toilet arrangement wasn’t made very clear, though it wasn’t a major issue. I’d say the Economy room suits a solo guest or a couple at most, though I can’t comment on the other rooms. Parking on the street is free from 6pm to 8am, but spaces are busy. The public car park around the corner costs £1.40 for those hours and is also cheap for 24 hours. The location is great. I don’t think some of the other reviews here can be genuine.

We gave it about 15 minutes, handed the key to a staff member to show we hadn’t stayed, and left. We found a hotel 20 metres away for £120, with an immaculate room, an en suite bathroom and continental breakfast. This place cost us £180 for one night, with no breakfast, and in my opinion it wasn’t as advertised. The photos had led me to expect an en suite, veranda and pleasant kitchen area, and the price made it seem like a nice place. Instead, there were stains on the walls and bedroom carpet, the bathroom was shared, the TV remote didn’t work, and the room smelled musty. The window wouldn’t stay open, so we propped it up with a small waste bin to air the room. It felt more like a hostel and should have been priced accordingly, not at £180 a night.

The rooms are small and dirty, the doors feel flimsy and easy to break, and the handles don’t work properly. The pictures are misleading. I won’t stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It’s disgusting and shouldn’t be listed on booking sites with fake images.

There are plenty of shops and restaurants on the high street, and WestEnd parking is a two-minute walk from the town house, costing £4.20 for the day. We used self check-in, with the hosts sending the codes on the day and communicating well beforehand. Room 6 has an en suite, though the mattress was a bit uncomfortable. The shared kitchen has tea, coffee and a kettle, but no microwave.
