The room was hard to sleep in once daylight came through the partial blinds, and the damp, awful smell from the apartment and bedding was impossible to ignore. There was mold throughout, including visible black mold on the washing machine, which we couldn't use. I had an asthma attack and hives from what I believe was an allergic reaction to the mold spores. The shower was broken, and the facilities looked like second-hand student flat furnishings from the late 90s. The Airbnb photos gave a very different impression, showing a freshly painted wall and the bed. When we asked the management agency politely to cancel and refund us, they refused. The owner was told too and also refused, suggesting we spray Febreze. We had to argue with Airbnb at length to get most of our money back. I wish the internet could convey smells. Stay away and book somewhere else.

After almost four hours on the road, we couldn't park near the house. The allocated spaces were taken by other people, and a large van blocked half the drive for our entire stay. The fridge freezer was switched off when we arrived, so more than £15 of food went to waste and we had to go out to buy more. On the second day, after being out all day, we also found there was no toilet roll and had to go back out for that. The place was dirty and unwelcoming, with a bad smell from our room. The shower was tiny and leaked, which made the stay stressful. The owners weren't helpful: they offered £10 back, which felt like a slap in the face, and have ignored us since we didn't accept. Other rooms are rented too, and the standards there didn't seem great. I'd stay away and spend a bit more elsewhere.
