Blue Palms

We cancelled our booking because the place was filthy and nothing like a 4* hotel. At 4pm our room still wasn't ready, and despite paying for and reserving a parking space, there was nowhere for us to park. We accepted that and came back an hour later, but the situation hadn't changed. The bell didn't work, so both times we had to phone to get the door opened by a very unpleasant, rude woman, “Coco”. She treated us like an inconvenience instead of paying guests. The website photos must have been taken a long time ago, because the property is very run down.

Avril and Paul made us feel like we were staying with friends. They’re warm, welcoming, brilliant, and have a great sense of humour. Our bright, comfortable twin room was spotless, with a spacious ensuite that was sparkling clean. Breakfast was yummy and kept us going through the day. Coco, the owner of Blue Palms, was so caring and accommodating, and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Although the B&B is in central Bournemouth, its road is lovely and quiet, just minutes from the busy shops and restaurants. We wanted a comfortable, QUIET stay and that's exactly what we got. We had a lovely weekend and the location was handy for walking into Bournemouth and exploring around it. It was really quiet, breakfast was lovely, and I enjoyed the interesting chats with the owner.
