OYO Bourne Park

We had mussels with salmon, then scallops, and both were fantastic. The food was consistently good, and the pleasant, quick staff made our evening. We hadn’t booked and they were busy, but they found us a table straight away, something we hadn’t experienced elsewhere that evening. The lobster looked great, and we would’ve loved to try it if someone had pointed it out. I’d definitely recommend a visit.

The room itself was clean and comfortable, but we were woken at 6am by the night porter and another guest having a heated argument right outside our door. When we complained, there wasn’t even an apology, let alone a refund. The whole operation felt dodgy. Our reservation was for another location, but it was closed. After several phone calls, we were finally told our room was actually here. There was no reception, just a construction site, and we had to call again before anyone let us in.

They couldn’t find our reservation and put us in a dirty room with a broken window. We were promised it would be fixed the next day, but it still hadn’t been repaired when we left after three days. The whole place was very disorganised. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The bed bug problem was horrible. The hotel had an infestation throughout, along with various other issues. It’s dodgy, the worst hotel, and I’d never recommend it to anyone.
