Prime Backpackers Bournemouth

The shared toilets and showers are separate, which can matter, and both were clean and in great working order. Everything feels brand new and well looked after. There's a kitchen, TV room and beer garden to relax in, too. I was in a room of six, with enough space that it didn't get stuffy even with the windows closed. Leave them open in a front room, though, and street noise can come in. The beds were much more comfortable than in some bunkhouses I've stayed in over the years. Staff were super friendly, and the place was spotless. A really great backpackers experience at Baggies Bournemouth, and probably the best backpackers I've stayed at.

It's very cheap compared with the average Bournemouth hotel, so it was good value overall. The place is in a great spot, within walking distance of the coach and train station and the beach. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and the kitchen and shower rooms were lovely. The toilet arrangement is a bit awkward: while you're brushing your teeth, someone might be doing a number 2 about three steps away, or the other way round. Towels are provided, but I waited nearly three hours after checking in because they had no dry ones.

The manager Andre and the staff were caring, very helpful and friendly. They made the atmosphere feel warm, homely and fun. The hostel is spotless, spacious, and has comfortable beds plus a superb modern kitchen with all the equipment you need. It's right in the town centre, a few minutes from the beach, and definitely good value. Highly recommend.

For the price, this was great. Everything was clean, including the toilets, kitchen, showers and rooms. The rooms could have been bigger, but I still can't complain. The manager was polite and very friendly. I also appreciated the rule about keeping things quiet after 11pm, which meant I could properly rest after a long day. It's in a great location, and if I go back to Bournemouth, I'd probably stay at this hostel again :)
