The house worked brilliantly for our hen party. There was a huge dining table for our flower-wreath craft activity and games, and everyone had a fantastic time. It's full of interesting things and decorated to a high standard. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a roast, plus tea, coffee and milk. They'd also left a delicious cake and a bottle of bubbly to get the celebrations started. Our guests were so impressed that they were already planning their own parties there. The owners were fantastic from start to finish. We booked before the pandemic, and they kindly let us change dates several times. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was excellent, near bars, restaurants and shops, with the beach a 10-15 minute walk away. I'd recommend it 100%.

We had the best time at this beautiful, quirky house for a hen do. There are so many lovely rooms, each with its own unique touches, and the beds were clean and comfortable. The hosts were amazing and left us Prosecco, brownies, tea and coffee. Cafes and shops are nearby, and for the price, it's a great place. We'll definitely use it again.

Alison and Carl made us feel welcome from the start, with great communication beforehand and a helpful tour when we arrived. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated and in just the right spot for our hen weekend. They’d even left milk in the fridge and a bottle of bubbly, which went down very well with the girls. Some of us are already thinking about what other celebration we could hold here. Thanks for putting so much care into making it feel special. I’d definitely recommend it to friends and family.

We were really well looked after, and the hosts were happy to accommodate the local food and activity companies we brought in. I booked the house for a hen party, and both the bedrooms and shared spaces looked stunning, with lots of individual touches. Nothing felt like too much trouble.

The drawing room worked brilliantly for our drinks reception and after party, while the dining room fit our sit-down dinner for 25 perfectly. The house was spacious, clean and beautiful, and it was suitable for bringing in an outside caterer. We especially loved the wedding favour biscuits and the other thoughtful touches around the house. Alison and Carl’s Southbourne Grove House gave us the most amazing experience for our wedding party. The house itself was fascinating, and their hospitality went beyond anything we expected. They catered for everything we could have asked for, and more. Many thanks, we’d highly recommend them to anyone wanting to stay or host a party at Southbourne Grove House. Alistair and Ida
