Waves In Bed and Breakfast

Val welcomed me warmly, showed me to my room and offered to book breakfast, which I politely declined. I booked directly with Waves In and saved money compared with Hotels.com. Parking out front was easy on a Friday evening, and the property was easy to find. There are DVDs in the front porch, a nice touch. I had an ensuite double, room 5, with a good-sized bed, TV, coffee area and small mirror. There was generous wardrobe space, and the blind and curtain kept the room nice and dark. The shower was good, there were lamps either side of the bed, and the window looked onto a small, pretty garden at the front. The keys included one for the front door and one for my room, so I could come and go any time. I felt safe and comfortable, and it’s just a stone’s throw from Boscombe high street. A really wonderful stay, and I’ll definitely return if I’m in the area.

We stayed two nights with our two kids in room 2, which was a good size and had an ensuite. It was clean and tidy, with everything we needed. Val welcomed us, chatted with the girls and made sure we were all sorted. The B&B has parking at the rear, and it’s a ten-minute walk to the beach and five minutes to Boscombe High street. Breakfast was really good, with lots of choice. We’d definitely stay again.

The best part of our stay at Waves In was the staff. Everyone was smiley, friendly, full of local knowledge and happy to help with anything. The whole place has a cute nautical seaside theme, and it was clean and attractive with everything we needed and a few nice extras. Our room was a good size, with tea and coffee facilities, a wash basin, plenty of storage, bathroom towels, shower gel, shampoo and body lotion. The bed was spacious and very comfortable, with lovely clean linen. They also lent out beach towels for the short walk to the beach, and had a great selection of DVDs and books to take to your room. There was plenty of parking, which is unusual at some local hotels and B&Bs. We had to share a bathroom, but it was very clean and only one other room used it, so we never saw them and it felt much like having a private one. The price was very reasonable. Val, the owner, was very friendly, and they called a day ahead to check how many of us were coming so they could prepare the room. We loved the cozy feel and the room. There was a nice cup of tea and milk waiting, and the beds were clean and comfortable. The TV was nice, and they have a DVD selection too. Kind people, a lovely B&B, and we’ll come back.
