Cotswold Cottage Gems Ivy Cottage

At 5:30pm on Friday, our group of eight was stranded after our first Airbnb turned out to be awful. We’d already called every other agency in the area, and most people were switching off their phones at 5. This team was easy to reach and incredibly accommodating, going above and beyond to find us a lovely cottage in Stow. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped, and in an ideal location. I’m so grateful for their help, and we’ll definitely stay again.

After a long journey, it was a nice surprise to find a local hamper waiting in our gorgeous cottage. It’s very close to the lovely Bourton-on-the-water high street, has parking on site, and welcomes dogs. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it and will return on my next Cotswolds visit.

The accommodation was good, but for such an expensive cottage the kitchen was very poorly stocked. There was no teapot, jug, or teaspoons, and the cutlery was very limited. There was no potato masher, and only two tea plates and four cups and saucers, even though the cottage sleeps six. We also had no welcome pack, and the directions to the back of Rathbone Cottage were poor. I wouldn’t recommend this.

The cottage was peaceful and had everything we needed. It made for a perfect holiday, and an ideal place to spend a few days feeling British.
