All Seasons Guest House

We arrived at 8am and were able to leave the car in the car park all day while we walked the Thames. The welcome was warm, and we checked in at 8pm. Our room was clean and the shower worked well. The decor is a little dated, but it was fine. I’d definitely stay here again.

Shops, pubs, and places to eat are just a five-minute walk away, and the room was comfortable and clean. It’s in a nice area near the park and ride to Oxford and London, with good free parking behind the building. The owner was friendly and came to let us in within five minutes of our call, even though we were several hours earlier than the time we’d given when she called that morning. It’s good value for the area despite the dated decor. I’d stay again, though the broken window at the front with its temporary repair was a little off-putting.

We felt right at home at this guesthouse and would recommend it. The rooms are big, bright, and clean. It’s a great base for Headington, with transport all around Oxford. Our hostess made the place feel calm, friendly, and welcoming.

The room was warm enough, and breakfast was adequate. Some of the furniture looked new, as did the parquet floor, but the bed covers needed replacing: one had a stain or black mark, and the other had a tear or signs of wear. The wooden toilet seat was split around the front and loose on its mounting, making it feel like an accident waiting to happen. There was no hot water from the basin tap. The pipework boxing looked very badly done, and the shower didn’t look inviting, so we never used it. The room needs redecorating, proper boxing around the pipes, a properly fitted new toilet seat, and replacement bed covers. Then it might be worth £85 for the night.
