We had a brilliant three-night stay. The pub has a great beer garden, and the food was excellent, especially the chips. Our room was comfortable and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout.

We’d go back after our first meal here. The Sunday roast was good and very well priced, at £16.95 for an adult portion. It’s a nice place inside, right in the town centre and easy to find, with plenty of parking nearby, including the pub’s car park.

Aaron and the team were so friendly and helpful, and looked after us brilliantly. We really enjoyed our weekend here. The location was great and the ambience lovely. We’ll definitely stay again.

The rooms were okay, but nothing extraordinary. I did notice a dark mark along the stitched edge of the towel. It felt soft and clean otherwise, but the mark was noticeable and a little concerning. I hope housekeeping checks the linen more carefully before it goes into guest rooms, since its condition and presentation matter in a hotel. Breakfast at 8:30 AM is awkward for business travellers who usually need to leave early, so the hotel doesn’t seem particularly suited to business stays. Also, the glass shelf above the sink sticks out and seems too low, making it easy to hit your head while using the sink.
