We didn't stay at the hotel, just ate at the restaurant, and the meal was sublime. They kindly moved our reservation to later, I think keeping the kitchen open for us, and gave my boyfriend and me a cosy, romantic table. The food honestly matched what you'd get at a fine dining restaurant in London, and was much better than the roast we had at The Pig the next day. Service was friendly and attentive, and the playlist was fantastic too. The ambience was spot on, and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Thanks for everything.

For our surprise birthday party for 22 people, the service, support and food were exceptional. Nat, Jo, Claire and the whole team gave us brilliant help from the start. I can't recommend the George at Woolley more strongly. Thank you to everyone involved.

We come here regularly, whether it's for a quiet drink for the two of us or a meal with friends and family. Jo and Nat are so welcoming, and it's very dog friendly, with a delightful garden. The food is consistently very good, above pub standards. Great atmosphere and service too. Just what a pub should be. Keep up the great work.

We were staying nearby and visited The George as a group of 23. The team helped arrange a set lunch menu for us, and we had a lovely two course meal in the upstairs dining room. The food was delicious.

The advance information for our event was confusing. We weren't sent the menu for pre-ordering in time, and I had to chase for it. Once the day came, though, the service was wonderful and the food excellent. We were 18 people of mixed ages using the upper room for a family birthday. It was a fantastic venue to have to ourselves, and we weren't rushed.
