The Old Cottage

The place overlooks the canal, and we really enjoyed walking along to Avoncliffe. It’s a lovely little B&B in a beautiful village, with plenty to do and some high-quality restaurants nearby. The train station is a 10 minute walk, then Bath is 15 minutes away, which was great as we stayed out late into the evening. Breakfast was tasty and well cooked, with plenty of toast, yogurt, fruit and cereal, plus proper tea and filter coffee. Our cosy room was nicely decorated. Towels were changed daily, and there was lots of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, as well as bottled water. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The en-suite had small bottles of shampoo and similar items, which was handy even though we'd brought our own. A lovely character cottage, with a friendly host and good value for money. I'd definitely recommend it.
