For four people in two rooms, we paid £88, and we only needed somewhere to sleep after enjoying the Saltaire festival. At that price, we weren't expecting too much. The staff were brilliant, cheerful, helpful, and welcoming, and I'd stay again next year because it was cheap and they were so pleasant. The hotel is very dated. The floors creak and groan, the bathroom works but the shower fitting fell apart, and although I'm not especially tall, I couldn't sit properly in the bath without improvising. Serious renovation is needed soon. Still, major improvements would send the prices up, and I'm not sure there'd be enough passing trade to make the cost worthwhile. It's rated three stars, and realistically that feels about right.

A proper old-school pub with old-school vibes, and a great place to watch football. The landlord's a real character. Lister parks is right on the doorstep, so it's a decent spot to enjoy yourself at the right times. It'll be great when the rooms open.

Really, really poor. I felt nauseous from how dirty it was, and couldn't sleep, so I had to book somewhere else. The toilet and bath were filthy, with what looked like dried phlegm by the shower. The TV remote and windowsill were incredibly dusty, as if they hadn't been wiped in ages. The rooms are above a noisy pub with no sound insulation. Avoid it.

On match day it's a dingy pub, and not the place for anyone after a higher-end bar. It needs refurbishing.

I was here for work and had a basic single room. It was spacious, with pretty standard fixtures and fittings. Nothing to complain about, and good value.
