We stumbled on this lovely place yesterday and stopped for lunch. The chicken and chorizo sandwich with chips was absolutely delicious, with amazing flavours. The barman was welcoming and really friendly. Loved the decor and the outdoor seating too. We'll definitely return for dinner and drinks.

Two visits for live music and food in the last couple of weeks, and it's turned into my local pub! There's a good playground for kids aged 3 and up, friendly service from a team who really try to help, and a great vibe in general. I spoke to the woman at the bar, who said it's under new management and some changes and refurbishments are underway. From what I've seen so far, it's heading in the right direction, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes.

Really friendly, dog welcoming pub. The menu is great and everything is cooked from scratch. Elliott is a chef who's developing fast. Inside is stylish, with a big outdoor garden and an event barn available for private bookings.

We went to them for our mother's wake and are so grateful for everything they did. They took care of the flowers, photos, music and food, giving her a fantastic send-off. It was all reasonably priced too.

Our experience at my uncle's wake was a shambles. The owners had gone on a last-minute holiday to Pathos, leaving the staff to manage two wakes and the pub without a license holder on the premises. My aunt had booked for 25 people. The funeral was at 10:30 just up the road, so we arrived around 11:30, only to find another wake already there with about 25 people as well. There was one person serving at the bar for everyone. Under the pressure, she told us she was kitchen staff, and her partner, the chef, was in the kitchen. They were the only two people working during our wakes, and she said she hadn't had a day off in over four weeks. There were several problems that day for our family, and I can only imagine the other wake had the same issues: - Tea and coffee weren't ready as arranged. A cupboard around the corner had a switched-off hot water tank, with no tea or coffee for us to help ourselves. - We waited an hour for the buffet, which then came out late and in stages. - We'd asked for everything to go on one tab. - There was only one person serving at the bar. - The Coca-Cola was off, and the draft drinks stopped working altogether. - There were no plates or cutlery, no napkins, and nothing to pick up the food with. - The sandwiches weren't buttered. - Some mini sausages were raw and others cooked. See images. - There weren't enough staff, and kitchen staff were wearing flip-flops. We had nobody to complain to. The poor woman behind the bar was in tears, trying to keep it together. When we asked who the license holder was as we left, she said it was the owner. Since he wasn't there, the pub was serving drinks illegally during our wake. I felt like calling the police, but she said there was another wake later that afternoon she still had to get through, and I couldn't bring myself to spoil someone else's wake. I don't recommend this pub under its current management. It seemed the owners' holiday mattered more than the business and staff. They also showed no morals in taking on such sensitive gatherings as wakes.
