Sixteen of us walked in without a booking for breakfast while celebrating my dad's 70th birthday. We hadn't slept at the hotel, but we had family staying there, and they welcomed us with smiles and got straight to work. The waitress handled all our orders brilliantly, kept the drinks topped up, and checked that everyone was happy and had what they needed, including for dietary requirements. The chef cooked everything just as we'd asked. When things got hectic, the receptionist came to help too. They made breakfast a lovely part of the family celebration, and we're very grateful. Huge thanks to Micha, Tracey and Charlotte. All of us in the Cane/Morley/bass family give them five stars.

There was plenty of parking, and the location worked well for visiting family, so I'd stay again. The rooms were clean with plenty of power sockets, the usual comfortable beds, a hairdryer, and tea and coffee facilities. There is no lift. The continental breakfast was minimal, partly because the breakfast area is small. Freeport is a short drive away and has plenty of other restaurants, though I wouldn't feel safe walking there because of the dual carriageway roads.

The breakfast had lots of choice and was tasty, and the staff there were so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were good for the price and had what we needed. The location was just right for our plans.

On only our second visit to this Premier Inn, we again found it well located. The room was up to its usual good standard, and breakfast was excellent, cooked fresh rather than served as the usual buffet. Tracey and Julia were friendly and really helpful. We'll have to find another reason to visit Braintree (Freeport).

The room was beginning to show its age, but the friendly, helpful staff and the breakfast made up for it. Breakfast was cooked to order and had the usual high standard. It's a Premier Inn, so you know what to expect, consistently good.
