Breakfast had loads to choose from, and they were good about vegetarian options. We only stayed one night while cycling Hadrian's Wall, but the secure covered bike store and spot right on the route made things easy. We were upgraded to an apartment, finished to a really high standard, with outdoor seating, a fully equipped kitchen and a wonderfully quiet feel.

The guest laundry was a handy extra. We felt welcome straight away by Dianne and her family, and our spacious, comfortable room was great. The lounge and honesty bar made a nice place to unwind. Dianne was also happy to help with dinner bookings, taxis and public transport suggestions for people walking the Wall.

The lounge and honesty bar felt warm and cosy, and our room was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious too. Dianne greeted us when we arrived and, at short notice, managed to find us a lift to the start of our walk the next morning. She was so friendly and helpful. Wonderful!

We’ve stayed at Scotch Mews three times now, and the standard has stayed high. The host is especially welcoming, and we’ve always appreciated the tidy rooms, good parking, convenient location and great breakfast. We’re hoping to come back for our next golf trip.

The friendly staff and excellent breakfast were a real plus during our Hadrian's Wall walk. Our room was spacious and spotless, and being right in the town centre meant we could reach a pub for dinner in just a few minutes.
